Joan Homes are built in an accessible yet quiet location a 150 meters away from the Blue Flag awarded Korakas beach. The beach features an abundance of great taverns and cafes and has umbrellas with sun-loungers where you can enjoy the summer heat. You can shop from the local supermarket or take walk in the picturesque paths that surround the village.

Our beautiful village of Rodakino is 40km from the town of Rethymno, 125km from Heraklion Interantional airport, and 95km from Chania Airport. We can also arrange you a private transfer from your airport to out homes, or a trip to your desired destination. The tourist village of Plakias is just 10km away and has plenty of supermarkets, cafes and restaurants you can enjoy. In case of an emergency Plakias also has doctors you can visit.

Sfakia is a historic complex of villages located 10km away and features unspoiled beaches, wonderful food and a Venetian fortress dated back to the 12th century. Famous for its light blue waters, traditional lifestyle and secret shores that are only accessible by boat, it is an area well worth visiting.

The Prevelis Monastery and Lagoon are two of the most famous attractions of Crete and are within driving distance from our homes. The Monastery which is still active dates back to the Venetian Republic and is devoted to Saint John the Baptist, who is celebrated at the 8th of May every year. The Prevelis lagoon is considered one of the wonders of Crete as it combines a palm forest, a river and a beach into a single spectacular sight.

Last but not least, you can visit the wonderful beach of Kalypso, which it’s emerald green waters that are surrounded by high rocks, perfect for snorkelling and diving. The small beach is said to have been a pirate hideout three to four hundred years ago and still carries its legacy to this day.
